re: Reaching 300,000 miles mark & I have more questions! 200 1987

Hi All,

My Swedish Baklava is going to reach 300,000 miles mark by next year. Once she hits the mark, I want to get ready for another 100,000 miles. I have decided to replace all the parts/things over few days rather working on the car every other weekend. I got my shopping list that's worth about $1200 based on FCP.

Q1. Is there a brick & mortar store/on line shopping store who can offer more discount even after their reduced price?

Q2. For front strut removal, do I gain any time or make things any easier by disconnecting the ball joint first? I am planning to change them all, looking for a safe and short cut. Maybe there is none. ?

Q3. I always used Volvo seals. How is Erling? Are they just as good?

Q4. My CAT converter is loose and making a rattling noise. It's not the shield. I have a used CAT from my 93 wagon and it's slightly plugged in the center part, about 5-8% covered. Should I use it or buy new?

Thank you as always.
