1987 740 GLE Wagon Advice 700

I've got a lead on an 87 740 GLE wagon. Any advice if I take a look at it? Reportedly the AC does not work and the brakes need some attention. But it runs and drives and appears to have a straight body. I might be able to purchase it for $350, from the original owner, so it sounds like a no brainer as long as it runs, drives, isn't rusted, and doesn't have any dents.

1. Are the wiring harnesses a mess and falling to pieces on these?
2. Does the 87 740 have a galvanized body?
3. Anything else that would be problematic besides interior bits and pieces.

Thanks,
