Ohh yes or ohh S&%T !!! 200 1993

OK so I replaced my head gasket.

When I did so I lost (or though i did) the cylindrical pen thingy that is used to align the head gasket and head onto the block. The two things in question are located on the block closest to the firewall.

So I've just got one on the block not two as it should be. I didn't think to much of it until just a moment ago. I got everything lined up and bolted down properly with out it.

Someone PLEASE tell me the two pins are not needed to seal the gasket or something else.

It was not hard to do the gasket / timing belt just a lot of little things I'd rather not do again this quickly.

Also something simple I can't seem to get done?. I can't get the exhaust manifold onto the mounting studs. Should I have the wife give it some love taps with a rubber mallet while I hold it in positon? Or does someone have a better idea?

Thanks ahead of time guys!
