Discontinued ac line - now what? 900 1993

I have an earlier model year '93 940 sedan in almost mint condition, which has a small leak in the metal fitting at the end of the hose from the compressor to the condenser. I've looked far and wide for a replacement, but the part is discontinued (#6841036) : despite it being listed in stock on several different sites and ebay, I've 'purchased' it now many times, only to be told it's unavailable. There are no decent pick and pulls in my area. Unfortunately, this car was made just a couple of months before the system was redesigned with the more user-friendly snap-in fittings, which are much more common and still available.

Does anyone know of a resource for repairing these old hoses, or perhaps any luck at brazing/fixing by other means? My local hydraulic hose place won't touch it..

Frustrating to have a car that drives/handles/feels amazing, turns heads but is unbearable to ride in come summertime!
