67 Duett rear end swap with 544 rear end 444-544

Because the gearing seems to be much lower in the Duett I am considering the use of a 544 rear axle instead of the stock one.
The suspensions of the two models are quite different, but the 544 axel minus its mounting brackets seems to be the same as the 210 axle.
Any advice or alternatives to consider?
