Intermittent wiper runs continuously 200 1991

I cleaned up the brushes of the wiper motor. In the process I removed the motor from the round gear switch assembly. When I reassembled it the low and high speed wiper runs fine.Unfortunately the intermittent now runs continuously when placed in the intermittent position on the stalk. Thankfully when I turn it off it does turn off.

Please kick me the correct direction.
