Hi All,

Last winter, 2 large rocks flew and cracked the top portion of the windshield. Doing this for second time, I felt very comfortable and it showed. Half way thru cutting the old tape, I was loosing my strength quickly. :)

Old butyl tape came off easy. It was a little messy but the job went fast with my wife help. I am so proud of her. We got so much attention from people passing by.

Cleaned the old tape with WD40, marked the guide lines & set the new butyl tape in place.

A new windshield has a rubber strip around the edge, making it difficult to align & grab the glass. I bought 2 HFT glass holders. It worked fine.

First, it didn't align because the bulging tape but the glass settled down eventually. My body is in shock but I am happier than ever. It looks great. My SB is ready for the NYC state inspection.
