1991 240 auto with 3000,000 miles. A slight hesitation occurs when I begin to back off a bit most frequently between 50-60mph. Once in a while it will occur while idling and will also quit on occasion particularly when I attempt to take off.
Over the 10 years I've owned it everything except the coil has been replaced. Unfortunately not with OEM parts. This has been going for over a month now. Except for the occasional stalling this has for the most part not changed in frequency or intensity.
The motor has also developed during the past two years what sounds like a rod knock that disappears,(except for a rattling noise at hot idle),once it warms up. I mention this primarily because I do not want to throw any more money into it I just bought it's replacement.
Thus if anyone is interested in a Volvo with a very good body.(originally for Georgia) in the Rochester,NY area, it will most likely soon be available. Other than the motor mechanically its in good shape.
