Sages,

1989, Volvo 245, 340K miles

So... I've noticed lately that my brake pedal when pressed is firm on braking, but will all of a sudden makes like a click and then moves maybe what feels like an inch and then will stay there until I've come to a complete stop.

At first it was just doing it every now and then, now I believe it is doing it all the time.

Any thoughts as to what I should be looking at to address and resolve this issue?

Other than this, the car runs fine.
