re: 87 245 auto - vented rotor vs solid rotor question 200 1987

Hi All,

I am really confused now.

When I bought my car, it had solid discs in front, I replaced it with vented discs. Now, I recently went back to solid discs.

Here is a twist, I replaced all hour brake caliper at one point. I don't know what kind of brake caliper I bought. Sigh...

OK. I have the Girling type in front. I have the ATE type in the rear. Now, here is my question.

Can I run/use a solid disc rotor on the Girling type caliper with vented rotor? Will brake pistons will fall out at some point because it was designed to use with vented rotor only?

As always, thank you.
