Lifting M41 Up into 1800ES 1800 1973

I'm attempting to install an M41 trans into my 73 1800 - a rather tight fit I must say.

Does the rear end of the engine need to be angled downward quite a bit or do you start sliding the input shaft into the clutch with the trans tilted downward at the rear end and then lift the tail end of the trans upward as the input shaft slides into the clutch? (That doesn't sound possible.) I tried lifting the tail end of the O/D up into the tunnel first and then sliding everything aft in order for the input shaft to clear the bell housing but that's a no-go as the tunnel narrows too much toward the back end. BTW - this is originally a BW35 car so I hope the tunnel is common to the M41 cars.

Does a tilting trans lift work?

I'm not strong enough to simply get under the trans and muscle it up/in like I used to do way back when, and when I was messing with an M40's or T86/90 with no O/D.

Thanks.
