Paging Art Benstein...! 200

Or anyone else that can assist with an electrical issue...

Hi Art:

I installed a Volvo volt meter in the dash of my 1990 240 following the excellent DIY steps that you posted many years ago.

The needle would always be just a little past 1/2 way to the right, however, now it is closer to the red zone.

I have a new battery and I replaced the original equipment alternator with a remanufactured Bosch about two years ago.

The battery is okay, and the alternator tested okay at O'Reilly's.

I was wondering if you might post a few trouble shooting ideas that I can follow to track down the source of my charging/electrical issues.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

John

If it needs to be maintained, repaired or replaced on a 1990 240, I've probably done it. '90 240DL, 359,850 miles, will she make it to 400K ?? >>You haven't really worked on a car until you draw blood<< :-}
