VX Cam installed: low Idle 200 1991

Recently I installed a new VX cam and did a valve adjustment. The car now idles very low. It runs fine and doesn't die. However I suspect if I had a functional A/C the extra load would kill it when stopped at a light, for example.

Is this common with VX cams? I know a different profile can affect idle speed/vacuum/etc. Is there an adjustment I should make to compensate?

The car is a '91 245SE, LH2.4. Manual transmission.

Thanks!
