Volvo 240 LeMons racing legend 200

This is a sad and joyful occurrence all rolled into one. A 24 Hours of LeMons legend, run by one of the nicest group of guys you ever met, is up for sale.

I am sad because these guys were so often in contention for the overall win in spite of being down on power (sometimes with half the power to weight ratio or less) compared to ALL of the top five cars every race. They did it through strategy, fuel economy, driver skill and reliability.

Then they had a string of terrible races with significant mechanical failures...which just took the wind out of their sails.

I am also sad that I do not have the cash to bring it into our fleet even though 4 of our team are current or former red block owners...one I even met through these forums.

I am happy because the car will surely keep racing in the Midwest. The team that picks it up will be getting a deal because this is about the cost of prepping a new car for your first race but includes about $2000 in spares. It may be racing for $500 crap can cars, but safety (budget exempt) is expensive and spares ain't free.
