I am the new owner of a 1993 245 classic. I was getting the car ready for a long trip. I removed the fan shroud due to a timing belt change, and left it off due to it being broken. As I was re installing i months later, I spilled some coolant on the AMM connection, but thought nothing about it. The car started and ran fine. A few days later, the car began to have rough idle, and the check engine light was illuminated. A few days later, I went to the car and it would not start at all. It had rained, and was an extremely humid morning, so much so that when I raised the hood, everything under the hood had condensation on it. The inside of the distributor cap had condensation. The car would not start at all. When I returned a week later, under dry conditions, the car started and ran fine. I disconnected and re connected the battery, and the check engine light did not iiluminate. The car ran fine for months. Today, it is raining, and I got in the car, and it started fine. I drove about a mile, stopped at a light and the car began to run rough and died. It was hard to start but finally it did, and I took it back home. ( 1 mile.) I owned another 93 240 that had a similar intermittant no start problem. ( It would not start at work.) The next day, it started and ran fine. Has anyone had a similar problem, or any ideas?
