This model had the time delay to keep the light on for 10 sec when the door closed. I'm wondering if that's the failure?

I'm trying to tidy up electrical issues on this car to get it insurance inspected.
Just hoping for good advice that will save me time. You know I had putting 4-5 hours tracing stuff, find out what it is, only to be told "yeah we all know- they all do that"
