Recently, noticed squeaks from my water pump when cold (pretty sure they're not from the fan belts). Had some WP lube for years & decided to put the 22 oz. into the expansion tank. Filled up to the max line. Now, a few weeks later, I still have the squeak (metal to metal type). I don't think the coolant in the expansion tank gets into the normal coolant flow through the engine & radiator unless pressure exceeds what's on the cap. So the lube is still sitting in the expansion tank. Or should it? Maybe should have put the lube in through the thermostat housing. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
