Hi
I should have never stored my car over the winter. All kinds of rust and seizure gremlins crept in. Building my way back out of things and getting it back on the road.
The fuel gauge is dead. It had a full tank of gas with fuel stabilizer in it. I removed the instrument cluster looked for cracks in the solder on the circuit board, everything looks mint.
before i dive in to the in-tank sensor job, as so helpfully laid out here >> http://cleanflametrap.com/transferPump.htm
Just wondering if someone knows which circuits or ground wire contacts I could check.
For example I read on here that the 940's had the fuel gauge on the headlight relay circuit and ground.
My main 25A fuse holder burnt, ground wire from valve cover to body corroded, wiper motor ground tab, weak power windows, and low oil pressure sensor readings have all been resolved now by replacing and or cleaning corroded contacts.
Any ideas for the Fuel gauge before I go fishing into the tank ?
Cheers,
Jonathan
