1993 940 No Start 900

1993 940 187k miles, running OK, then CEL comes on, then car stalls out--then NO START!

Found BOTH valve cover ground straps disconnected. Connected them, no change. (The owner had just changed the valve cover gasket, forgot the ground straps.)How did the car run without them for a day or two? It shouldn't have, but it did.

Now, no spark all the way to the coil. Could the ground straps being off have damaged the computer while cranking it trying to start? I changed the CPR, coil, ignition module, no change. Computer?
