Anyone have any experience checking their water pumps for wear and then getting away with just replacing the seals and gaskets when they fail instead of entire units? I'm wary of replacing a pump when all that has failed it just a piece or two of plasticized prophylaxis between two pieces of unbreakable metal. Those GMB water pumps that IPD sells - the only aftermarket pumps they carry, in fact, and I live in Portland so that's where I shop - neither look sturdy nor are they purported to be by some (http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=181390). Mine sounds fine so I wonder why I should have to replace the entire thing when my seals are leaking.
Taking this apart later today to check but any advice is always appreciated! Thanks fellas
