plastic tube with crimped copper end near gas tank. What is it? 200 1987

So, I went to put in some torque rods with newer bushings and noticed something dangling. It's a stiff, opaque plastic tube about 3/16 inch in diameter with a piece of copper crimped flat at the end. The rest of the tube looks hollow. It's coming from the vertical surface between the rear differential and the gas tank.
