164e valve adjustment 140-160 1974

I don't understand the method of adjusting the valves on 1974 164e . The Haynes book describes turning the crank to zero TDC on number one cylinder and #6 cylinder will be "in balance". I can put a screw driver in the #1 spark plug hole and find the piston is at the top. The valves on #6 cylinder seem to within the .020 -.021 range. The Haynes book sez then rotate crankshaft yeah ...BUT HOW MUCH ?? 90 degrees? 180 degrees , 360 degrees ?

I have set valves on B18 & B20's before but this seems confusing for B30

Please explain in simplistic terms
