testing to find the fault in blower motor 900 1993

blower motor doesnt work on any speed,setting.i switched in a good ac/heater control & used 3 different resistors.I still cant get the fan to work.
Im wondering how to test the resistors .I have 11.78 volts at the blower motor.& the motor works when hooked up tp the battery/.
the last time It worked i gave the dash a good whacked& the fan started working.So im thinking there is a fault somewhere...BUt I cant figure out where.
