Key Chime not always working... 200 1991

All,

I've started a huge laundry list of gremlins in my 1991, 245, and am slowly killing them.

This one, however, is annoying me beyond measure.

When I stick my key in the ignition, I do not get my notable chime. If I turn the switch to KPII and then back to OFF, the chime comes on, that is if the door is open. The same is true if I go for a ride, come to my destination, and shut off the motor, and then open up the door, the chime comes on as long as the key is in the ignition. It will then go off when I remove my key, but will not come back when I insert the key again.

Does anyone out there have a suggestion on how to fix this issue?
