Water in cubby and on relay panel. I owe you an answer to this one. 900 1995

This was water in the cubby, dripping onto the relays and finally causing electrical problems.

P.O. may have has this problem because there was a ton of butyl under the cowling which I finally removed (3 hours)using a knife which I bent at a 45deg angle.
Did a soapsuds test with compressor air blowing around the window interior. Nothing.

Went a little deeper and loosened the wiper mechanism looking for rust or anything else. There is a bolt that holds the wiper mechanism in place right over that cubby hole and relays.

Returned the bolt with a little silicone and results were, no more leaks. I had to replace a few fuses and clean some relay contacts. (Reminds me of the water leaking on 240 fuses.) DeoxIT helped out quit a bit. Got the brake lights working again and no idiot lights.

(I have to try DeoxIT on the darn window switches)

Tom
