Brake shoe anchor is stuck on the pin - any suggestions? 444-544 1962

I replaced my shoes and springs for first time, and on 3 wheels the anchor piece and the other piece on top of that all just fell off once the old shoe springs were removed. On right rear, it is like the anchor is welded in place. It refuses to budge. Hard to get much grip on it the way it sits in there... I hammered and pried but nothing. Could it be meant to stay on? Was wondering if that was some variation design backing plate that got put on the car at some point. Other side fell right off as expected.
I put it back together with all new parts except that anchor, and it seems to work ok, but it bugs me.
The only option I can think of is to use a Dremel and grind thru the top of the anchor piece until it releases from the pin. I have to pop that hub off again anyway, because I needed to get a new little spring that go on the e-brake cross-piece. Since I will be in there again, should I try to grind the anchor, off or is it supposed to be that way?

Also, it is a Spicer rear end but I got what was told were a pair new Spicier castle nuts, but both sides refused to let the new nuts thread on. I was able to re-use the old nuts but now it makes me wonder- is it possible for ENV axles to be in what looks like a Spicer rear end? I just don’t understand the technical differences of the internals, so i’m curious... and maybe I got shipped the wrong nuts... who knows. Visually they looked the same but I don’t know if I would be able to see the difference in the threads just looking at my old and the new ones I got.
Luckily my old ones were salvageable but I’m nervous how many more times until I have to replace them, what I should do, other then just buying both and experimenting.
