780 Exhaust Question

I just bought an 89 780 with the B230FT. The tail pipe is a straight piece that runs from the axle cross over pipe to the rear bumper. The tail pipe is completely rusted off.

When looking at the schematics on exhaust, it appears that there should be a muffler behind the axle cross over and then the tail pipe. Is that correct?

If so, it would be similar to the 740/940. I'm trying to make a parts list and want to be sure I do it right. Thanks for your help!
