M46 - Type F Alternatives 200

I have read the posts from 2004 re: Amsoil Super Shift and Red line type F - both synthetics. Am currently using plain old type F - change every 2 years and no issues.
Any updates since 2004 from those who have switched to synthetic Type F in an M46, pros and cons.

I agree if it ain't broke don't fix it, so any good reason to change at this point.

Thanks
