Hi Team,

I strongly suspect that my 940 (2.0 T SW from '97) needs a rebuild for both the water pump and the steering pump.

I searched in my local area, Atlantic Canada, but nobody seems to rebuild this stuff.

I could buy an original Volvo water pump, but no chance for the power steering one (discontinued).

An aftermarket steering pump, I am not sure they are any good really, during the last years, even the so called genuine Volvo parts have gone downhill with regards to quality, so this is why I'd rather prefer to have the original ones rebuilt, which basically means changing their respective bearings.

Do you know anyone who offers that service in NA?

Also, the power steering seems to be slightly misaligned, I cannot say why until I disassemble it, but am I right to assume the only reason of misalignment would be the bracket holes been worn? I doubt it, because that pump has never been touched in 26 years, but not sure what else could cause a misalignment.
