Please note that the www.brickboard.com domain name registration expires tomorrow, Oct 27/24 and so far hasn't been renewed. If you try to access the brickboard after that date you may see a notice about the website name from the registrars Wildwest Domains or Domains By Proxy. If that starts happening then please come back occasionally and try again to see if the registration has been renewed.
Most of you know that accessibility to the brickboard website has been extremely hit and miss these past many months, with numerous timeouts giving 503/504 errors. It can sometimes depend on your browser and browser extensions how quickly things time out. At times it's been down for days then up for only a few hours. Many of the duplicate posts you see are a result of these timeouts not providing confirmation that a post successfully submitted. Also, users saying they can't login may simply not be getting confirmation that they have successfully logged in.
A number of us have recently written Jarrod, the owner and site adminstrator, to let him know of these problems. I'm not aware of people receiving replies, but soon after my latest emails last week things notably improved. Jarrod has obviously been making recent changes, most likely improving the bandwith and/or tweaking server throughput to reduce the timeouts. Previously the Chrome browser under Windows was among the worst for access, but this past week I'm finding it among the best.
How much longer the brickboard survives is uncertain, so here's hoping for the best!
