Anyone mounted a Grant steering wheel? 200 244 Ti

I posted a message in Aftermarket, but I think this is really a 240-specific question.

I got a Grant steering wheel that I like, but their mounting kits only support pre-1990 740s. Someone in the Aftermarket list said that a 242GT steering wheel fit in his 740, and that the mounting kit worked in the 740.

Thus, will the 740 mounting kit work in a 240?

Experience, anecdotes, anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
