General Acceleration Question 200 1988

This last week I resoldered my OD relay and now that works fine. However, on to my question. I guess it's a general car quesiton. Recently I have noticed a dramatic decrease in acceleration. I'm about to change plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. Is there anything I should do or check to try and resolve this problem.
