Impact switch???? 200 1990

I have a 1988 240 sedan that was hit in the nose. Trying to fix it, but now engine won't even turn over. Heard that there MIGHT be some sort of impact switch located in the trunk that would cut power to the fuel pumps or something in the event of an impact. Does the 240 have this? Anyone know if such a thing would be in the trunk or anywhere else on the car?
