Front Brake Rotors glowing red? 200 1986

Well, as in any type of advertising - it's the headline that counts. Actually this posting has nothing to do with brakes, glowing red or otherwise. It's just an attempt to get information regarding two previous postings of the same subject, of which I rec'd none. (Must have been a poorly written subject headline.) So with any luck this new approach will do the trick.

Scenario: 1986 240DL 156K - Runs rough only at idle, otherwise good power and smooth running. Idles perfect (although a little high)with Mass Air Meter unplugged. Items done thus far include: Timing adjusted/ New plug wires/cap/rotor/all vacuum lines checked ok/throttle housing cleaned/ intake hoses ok/ intake gaskets and injector seals checked for leaks/ hall sensor checks ok.

Thanks in advance for the invaluable advise - it's always a big help!
