Every few weeks, for the last several months, my car will die shortly after starting. This only happens first thing in the morning and doesn't seem to be related to ambient temperature or weather conditions. I'll start it up, no problem, and if I switch on the high beams right off, the motor dies. I can start back up and be on my way without further problems. If I just drive off with the low beams on, no problem. After a few minutes I can switch on the high beams without stalling. It seems to only occur immediatly after starting, usually backing out the driveway or in the first few hundred yards down the road. Other than this, The car runs flawlessly. I just turned 60,000 miles this car last week. I've had older, higher milage 960 series cars and 10 or 12 other Volvos over the years (everything from the 544 on)and this is about the biggest problem I've had. Not bad.
Thanks,
Bob
