power loss at high speed on acceleration 200 1984

This past weekend I used STP fuel injector cleaner(safe for o2 and cat)

at the same time I blew my rad(stupid plastic). The top fitting cracked

right off spraying coolant all over the engine compartment.....

I managed to get a used rad for $50.00 cdn.(free in USA)...

Since all this on Sunday I have been experiencing a loss of power when

I am at 70 to 90 MPH and try to accelerate(live in Toronto have to drive high speed to survive)to pass.... If I ease up on the throttle my power

returns..This problem is periodic and seems to happen after driving

35 miles or so all highway....

One more thing when I was checking for cracked vacuum lines I placed my

hand under the intake to check to see if the flame trap was seated

correctly and I hit the Wires around the cold start injector..this caused

the engine idle to increase dramatically had to keep wigling my hand around until the idle slowed down. I do not have a tac to see if the idle

has returned to 900 RPM.. not sure if it every was ... seems to still

be high even after closing the idle adjust screw all the way...

Any comments are appreciated

Thanks to all in advance.....

SPECS... B23F LH 2.0 212K miles
