Dead Radio - Getting Closer 900 1993

OK folks..I tracked down the problem posted earlier. The fuse WAS blown (duh) and I replaced it..Now I am only getting sound to the front speakers, and it's very tinny...Almost like a pre-amp wasn't working.

Question, do I need to disconnect battery and reinstall codes (NOTE: The radio IS working)..?

Would whatever caused the fuse to blow somehow be looking for the code to work optimally..?

I remain stumped !
