Gonna change my distributer cap 200 1983

I think this weekend I'm going to change the distro cap in my '83 245. I have the white cap, and I've been hearing negative things about this Chrysler part. I would assume it's still the original cap in my car. Anyhow, can someone tell me how to change this part? Is it just unscrewing the old piece and screwing in the new? Any special thing I need to pay close attention to when changing it? Any particular brand you guys recommend? By the way, what are the caps and rotors? Thanks.
