Hello,

Recently, my '89 740GL has been running really rough. Its strange, when the car is first started, everything is running smoothly. However, within a few minutes of driving, the engine is shaking violently. When I come to a stop, the whole car shakes badly. This happens with the trans in both Drive and Park. The rpms are normal. I checked out the FAQ, and there was a lot of stuff that matched the symptoms I'm having. I would like to try to narrow it down a bit more before I go problem hunting under the hood. Today, the obd lit up, but I haven't checked the codes yet...if those are needed, I will repost with that info. Another problem that I've had is in the summer, the car idles really low after the car is warmed up, but its never caused a rumble like what I'm getting now. It's got almost 211,000 miles on it.
