Excessive engine rock at warm start. Why??? 200 1990

When I start this 240 from cold it seems to start easier than when when warm. On the first warm attempt the engine rocks more than I think is customary. The second warm attempt it starts right up with less rocking.

What could be causing this.

One response suggested the residual fuel mixture may be a little rich at warm start which is what you want at cold start.

any sggestions?
