What are symptoms of leaky head gasket? Just curious 200 87

Hello-

First of all, I'd like to poudly state that my beloved 245 performed flawlessly this past 2 weeks on my annual big Christmas driving trip (Just about 2,000 miles). Most of the highway driving was in snowy and icy conditions, and it performed better than I could've imagined!!

Anyway, when I was checking the oil, I noticed a small milky deposit at the top of the dipstick (not where you read oil, but at the top of the tube). I've read other posts, and am aware that leaky or blown head gaskets give you poor running conditions, milky colored oil, and white smoke out the tail pipe, not to mention obvious coolant loss. I don't have any of the above symptons, in fact, the car couldn't run any better. Why would I have this deposit on the dip stick? It's only at the top. Could there be moisture seeping in at the top. I drove through constant snow/ice/salt. Could that cause this? Thanks for your help as usual.
