Amazing 244 B21F motor 200 76

The local pick & pull just put out an amazing 1976 244. Just 132,000 miles. Safety Orange paint, and it is flawless. Interior was nearly perfect; I grabbed both front seats. Great chrome mirrors. The exhaust system looks new. Under the hood, people are quickly grabbing things --- but the immaculate B21F engine is still intact.

Somebody took really good care of this car, and it was a shame to see it here. Everybody swarming over it kept commenting on the condition. The left front corner was bashed in...I'm guessing someone told the little old lady owner that the body work wasn't worth doing. Either that or the automatic transmission went out.

Anyway, I have two questions for the group:

(1) Anyone want to buy either or both of the cloth/velour seats? The passenger seat is nearly perfect. The driver's seat is quite good, but has a couple of dings on the back and the headrest is loose. Front surface is nearly perfect. Can send photos/provide better descriptions on request. I'm going to put them up on Ebay, but wanted to give B-boarders the first shot.

(2) Is this engine worth getting? I think this place charges $150 for motors. I've never pulled one before, but suppose I could follow the directions in Haynes. I don't need it; the B21F in our 1978 244 is still going strong. Is there much of a demand out there for such things? It might actually be kind of fun to take my first motor apart and give rebuilding it shot...but I know my wife will have fits if there is no market for this thing on the back end.

Would be interested in any thoughts/reactions you folks have.
