About six months ago, I purchased my first Volvo, a 1988 744 Turbo. Upon buying it, I was aware of a headgasket failure, so I was going to buy it and fix it. As time went by, I ended up doing more to the engine than just a headgasket, I ended up putting in new pistons etc. I finally finished the engine and reassembly yesterday at about 11:30 at night and the car started. To my surprise though, the theromostat and the fuel gauge did not work when I did some diagnostics.
I must say though, this fall I took started to take out the console piece that has the gauges in it, but after seeing all of the wires I put it back in. I tryed to make sure I did not pull any wires out, I believe I did not though.
Any advice?
