Correction to chrome mirror question. 200 1976

I just woke up & realized the chrome side view mirrors I asked about a few days ago are actually stainless steel. I found these on a 1976 244. Does anybody know if they were standard equipment on this car, an option, maybe transplanted from some other Volvo ? They have the Volvo logo & part # stamped in the back.
