Boost gauge help 200 84Ti

I need help with a VDO boost gauge for my 242Ti

The gauge (VDO#1 121 003 129A, 30inHg/15PSI, Cockpit Series) had no barbed fitting on the back for the vacuum hose. Question is, How do I hook this up to read correct vacuum/boost? Drill out threaded fitting? Something else?

By the way, I can post pictures if needed.
