Hi,
I don't want to take my car to the shop--'cause I cannot afford it this month--but I may need to. I finally was able to find the fuel pump relay and inspected it. It looks fine to me--not knowing too much. There was no obvious smell, and no clear burn marks. One one corner of the soldering it looks to be a slight bubble, but that may be normal or not an issue. One some of the solderd "bumbs" there appears to be a slight cracking around the perimeter of them, and I guess they do look a little "dull." But nothing stands out to me as clearly "burnt" and obvious "that's it!" Also on one of the "bumbs" the copper wire is starting to show, ever so slightly. The relay dates back to '86. Should I pop this baby back in and stutter my way--hopefully--to the parts store and replace this part?
I look forward to your responses, and I'm sorry I'm posting so much.
Tired and dissapointed,
Ryan
