KickDown Cable/Auto Xmission Shifting 200 90

B230F w/AW70 (Automatic).Cleaned throttle body and flame trap/oil seperator/hoses. Noticed kickdown cable, by PO, was pinched by throttle cable but not firmly/correctly attached to throttle drum. Have been having intermittent OD engagement problems. Also since possession, slightly hard shift from 1st to 2nd and shift into 3rd needing about 2400-2500 RPM. Without OD, have been limiting driving to non-expressway (45 MPH/2200 RPM max) until I diagnose/repair OD. Therefore I removed kickdown cable completely from any attachment. Now, xmission shifts so smoothly can't even tell when 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd-Nice! Shift into 3rd around 25MPH instead 35-45 MPH. QUESTIONS: Is not the kickdown cable used for heavy load on xmission; WOT and entry onto xpressways when it maintains next lower gear instead of upshifting? Since I never do WOT-I wouldn't expect kickdown cable to have any influence on 1-2 or 2-3. Is it important to have hooked up if not doing WOT? Could this be a cause to OD problems? TIA
