Help! My ding-a-ling is stuck! 200 1991

Imagine trying to drive from home to work in the morning with that stupid ding-a-ling door chime stuck.

Annoying, don't you think?

I shut off the dome light, which is also stuck on. Could this be a result of the torrential rain we had last night? The switch for the door chime retracts properly, but somewhere one of these little monsters must be either shorted or making contact somehow.

Experiences with this? I've never had this happen before.
