Questions on 960 wagons 900 96

Looking to buy 95-97 960 or V90 wagon. What kind of gas mileage will I expect and is maintenace on engine reasonable. I have had 200 and 700 series for many years and feel comfortable with them, so any info on these six cylinders would be appreciated.
