stalling and no heat 200 1986

My 86 244 is having some problems. First, my heat won't come on. It only comes on when I am moving at about 45, and its on high. I cannot control the heat/AC. What is wrong? Is it the blower motor? Also, after driving for about an hour or so at highway speeds, whenever I slow to make a turn, my car cuts off. Why? Last, but not least, whenever my car is sitting idle for about 15 minutes, it begins to run hot (really hot). I changed the thermostat about 4 months ago, and I put a new radiator in about a year and a half ago. Why is it doing this? All help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated, car is going into the shop this weekend, and I need to know whats wrong. Thanks a lot guys.
